We can also prepare the necessary documentation for submission to the Council and the NSW Fire and Rescue. We will take the time to evaluate whether your building complies with the laws laid down by the BCA and that all fire safety regulations are met.
Proposed Builds
The design portion of our team can help you come up with fire safety solutions that will showcase compliance and protect your building and the people in it. We focus on innovative ideas to meet the provisions of the BCA, keeping in mind your budget and specific time frame. We can also work on behalf of your designer or the necessary governing authority to provide a current assessment of your building proposal advising on non-compliance or other issues which we believe may arise.
Buildings under construction
As an additional service, we can provide inspections and evaluations to monitor the build progress. This will help prevent any future delays that may be overlooked during the construction phase. We can also advise your building contractors on the latest fire stopping methods and processes as necessary.

RODGER DOWSETT
BCA / FIRE CONSULTANT
With a Master Degree in Applied Science (Fire Safety and Design) and Building Surveying, Rodger Dowsett has been working in the industry since the 1970s. He has spent over 40 years with the Botany Counciland understands as much as there is to know on the subject of compliance and certification (and possibly more). His position as Director – Planning and Development provides him with plenty of opportunities to inspect buildings under construction, issue approvals and refusals, and undertake strategic planning. Rodger is a key component of National BCA and a font of knowledge for the entire team.
